As an animal owner and lover, I have always felt that animal testing in cosmetics and the fashion industry is unnecessary and unmoral. Through this piece I wanted to show the things that we often overlook. When we look into a mall display window we see trendy clothing. However, do we think about what the brand does to bring us these products. Who do they fund? For what purposes? Is that brand owned by any other brand? What lives had to be given up in order for you to smell "good". These pieces give you a look at what actually happen behind those windows. Furthermore, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) does not require a cosmetics to be tested on animals. Which adds to my point of animal testing be unnecessary.
LUNA Photography

Luna is the name of my art. The first image is supposed to show how stressed I am. Keeping up with sports, school and organizations can be very stressful. At times I have several late assignments, projects that will be due soon, and games or meets that are to come. I do manage to get it all done and even have a 4.0. However I'm constantly stressed and feel like I'm going to fall apart. But, I have a way to get away from all of that. Luna. Whenever I walk her or play with her, I don't worry about a thing. Walking this creature and seeing her happy makes me realize that I need to take care of myself and be happy too. I don't have to be in a mindset where I feel like I'm suffocating, at least all the time. It's okay to stop thinking for a bit.
Sprouting Tree Ceramics
2019 Art Foundations
“Sprouting Tree’’, is a set of ceramics that I made with the same purpose but different outcomes. In the process of making them I knew I wanted to make something very unique that had never been seen before but I also wanted them to somehow connect with my first ceramic. The second ceramic is like the first ceramics older sister. While they share some traits, the second is an improved and more mature version of the first. The third ceramic, I wanted to make a whole different “branch” because I wanted something completely different. These ideas are all part of the same tree (my mind) but different branches.
